NOMC 2009 SPRING RETREAT
“A man’s work is nothing more than to rediscover, through the detours of art (myth ritual, poetry, music), those one or two images in the presence of which his heart first opened.” Albert Camus.
We invite you to join us in remembering when your hearts first opened, in reclaiming your heart’s desire and delight, in facing the fears and obstacles that stand in the way of the quest to fulfill your heart’s desire and to learn the critical importance of soulful companions in making possible the realization of your heart’s delight.
“ What was missing from most people’s lives were opportunities to participate in the great symbols of life, to encounter the great passions, and to immerse themselves in meaningful human community.”
“What happens to a dream deferred…does it dry up, crust over, stink, explode..?” Langston Hughes
“Follow your bliss.” Joseph Campbell
“Where your heart is, there will your treasure be.” The Gospel of Matthew
“Our deepest fear is not that we are
inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” Marianne
“It is only with the heart that one sees rightly.” Antoine de Saint-Exupery
